Direct provider meaning unbeatable pricing
- Commercial EPCs, Display Energy Certificates and Asbestos Management Reports start from £180 per unit (does not include asbestos samples at £100 per batch – minimum of 5 samples)
- SBEM/BRUKL ‘Design’ calculations start at £180 per unit. This includes up to four amendments/new report on the same unit. Additional reports for the same unit are charged at £100 each.
- SBEM/BRUKL Consultancy comprises SBEM calculations (‘Design’ and ‘As Built’ + Commercial EPC package. This is a cost effective solution to satisfying Part L2 SBEM/EPC sign off. Prices start at £350 per unit, the package Includes:
1 – Initial SBEM calculation (design stage)
2 – Design tweaking/consultancy to achieve a pass (design stage) – includes unlimited simulations
3 – As built SBEM calculation (as built)
4 – Lodged “as-built” Commercial EPC
Commercial (Non-Domestic) EPCs
To ensure our EPCs are accurate and audit compliant we use DesignBuilder for all our thermal modelling. This means our EPCs are much quicker to produce and often deliver a higher rating than certificates produced using the free government issue iSBEM used by the majority of active assessors.
Display Energy Certificates (DECs)
Display Energy Certificates are a legal requirement for all public body occupied buildings where the building has a total floor area > 250 m2. If there are multiple buildings on the same site (e.g. a school or hospital) then certificates will be required for each separate building (i.e. unconnected by covered walkways as a minimum).
Asbestos Management Surveys
The purpose of the Asbestos Management Survey is to locate and identify the presence and extent of any suspect asbestos containing materials (ACMs) in the building which could be damaged or disturbed during normal occupancy, including foreseeable maintenance and installation, and to assess their condition.
Dynamic Simulation Modelling (Lvl 5)
Level 5 commercial buildings are considered to be the most complex buildings to produce energy assessments for. A Level 5 non-domestic property can be identified from specific features such as atrium’s, automatic blind control and ventilation with enhanced thermal coupling. It is illegal to deliberately lodge a level 4 EPC against a level 5 building.
BRUKL Reports (SBEM Calculations)
SBEM Calculations (also known as BRUKL Reports) provide an analysis of the predicted energy performance of a building and are required by Building Regulations to comply with the Part L section of the regulations. When the building is complete our reports can be converted to a lodged Commercial EPC.
